The Trumansburg Community School District (TCSD) Foundation is a 501c3 tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation located in Trumansburg, NY and organized in 2006. Run by a volunteer board of directors, the TCSD Foundation provides grants and supports educational programs in the school and community. The TCSD Foundation is a result of a collaborative effort between parents, alumni, teachers, residents, and local business people, and is not directly affiliated with the Trumansburg Community School District, its budget process, or policies.
Enhance pre-K through 12 educational and extracurricular opportunities in the district.
Forge partnerships with friends of the Trumansburg Central School District.
Raise funds and award grants to foster personal growth and encourage excellence.
The TCSD Foundation can support any not-for-profit organization with a viable program which will benefit students in the district. Programs may be initiated by the school, a library, a museum, an arts organization, the Foundation itself, or another not-for-profit partner in the community.
Our efforts to date have resulted in tangible benefits in the form of grant awards exceeding $160,000 that have directly benefited Trumansburg Central School District students. In addition, the TCSD Foundation coordinates and funds the Trumansburg Troubadour, a biannual student newsletter, and the Kids Discover the Trail! (KDT!) program. The KDT! program takes all Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students to a Discovery Trail site for a curriculum-based learning experience.
We have been working hard to make a difference in the education, wellness, and individual development of the students in the Trumansburg Central School District. We thank our many generous supporters: parents, business partners, the Trumansburg Central School District, and community partners.
